Since I have been working in the field of design and architecture, I have observed various projects and different clients with different reasons for collaborating on an apartment, house, office, etc. Seeing these goals, I analyzed an important question: why is an interior design project necessary? Therefore, one article will be enough to indicate the main reasons.
Why is an interior design project needed?
When is an interior designer needed?
There are several key reasons why you might need a design project, and if any of them apply to you, then we recommend considering working with a designer:
- Time saving – A designer takes responsibility for the project, relieving the client of stress and saving time for personal matters. The owner can rely on a professional in the field and devote themselves to other things they specialize in, knowing that the project will be completed without having to take on too much.
- Exclusive vision – Consulting an experienced specialist offers a new perspective on the project. We have a wealth of past projects that allows us to design spaces that the client could not even imagine, more unusual, more practical, more beautiful.
- The designer's expertise – When you start researching repairs, you realize how complex the knowledge required to carry them out is. A designer already knows the details and can implement them in the project without burdening you personally, such as types of materials, lighting options, sanitary ware, furniture, and their advantages and disadvantages.
- Project organization and management – Keeping track of repairs, communicating with the construction team, solving problems that arise along the way, taking into account technical drawings and correct implementation is tiring and often unproductive. The designer takes care of this type of communication, keeps track of the correct implementation of the design project, solves problems on the construction site, and saves the owner's nerves.
- Partners of the interior design company – An interior design company has partners, manufacturers, and stores selling materials, furniture, etc., and provides rapid communication between the customer and the supplier. The benefit of these partnerships is the savings on product purchases, as stores often offer a certain percentage discount when proposed by a design company such as ours.
You don't need a design project when:
Not every space requires a design, and there are certain situations when an owner may decide not to purchase a project and carry out the work independently.
- Money savings – The design company keeps track of the client's planned budget, but there are minimum amounts required to achieve a high-quality result for the repair work. We do not offer the cheapest options, because we know the quality and expected service life that these options can provide. If your main goal is to save as much money as possible, we do not recommend contacting a design company, because we cannot afford to recommend materials that will only last one or two years.
- Simple and quick repairs – For some repair projects, a design project may be optional, such as changing finishes or purchasing furniture for a space that is already finished. For such types of work, a consultation from us as designers can solve half the job. You can request a design project if you want to see the final result in 3D and have us prepare a reference chart with the volume of materials, furniture, etc.
- High independence in vision and decision-making – A personal vision is beneficial and helps a lot in completing the project, but a stubborn vision can cause more problems than solutions. Our experience helps us guide you, explain the disadvantages of certain choices, and propose better solutions. People who cannot accept this feedback often end up disappointed with the collaboration, regardless of the outcome.
If one of these pro-design reasons applies to you, you can contact the AMAKU studio team. We are specialists in the field and understand our clients' needs. You can be sure that we will carry out the work professionally and to a high standard.
